Authorization bypass in Apple macOS allows attackers in another user context to access encrypted volumes without entering the volume password. Apple identifies DiskArbitration state management as the locus but has not disclosed the incorrect state transition or authorization decision. Exploitation requires interaction with an encrypted volume under a different user context, exposing its contents without the expected password prompt.
