Stored XSS via unescaped redirect shortcode URL
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2025
Stored XSS in If-So Dynamic Content before 1.8.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted shortcode. The ifso-redirect shortcode writes its url attribute into JavaScript without validation or output escaping, preserving injected code before the redirect. Contributor-level access is required to save the shortcode in a post, and another user's visit to the published page triggers the script in that visitor's browser.
