Published Dec 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Matt Walters WordPress Filter 1.4.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to store malicious scripts. The plugin's settings-update function omits or incorrectly performs nonce validation before persisting attacker-controlled script content. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to follow a crafted link or otherwise submit the forged request; the stored script then runs when affected content is viewed.
