Password disclosure via repository-mirroring error message
Published Sep 12, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Information disclosure in affected GitLab CE/EE releases allows remote authenticated users to read repository mirror passwords. A forced mirror update places configured Git credentials in the repository-mirroring failure message instead of redacting the password. Manager-level access is required, and other manager-level users can view the exposed credential.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=15.10 <17.1.7
