Unauthenticated administrator access via arbitrary option updates
Published Dec 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Dugudlabs Digital Services Eyewear Prescription Form 4.0.18 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain administrator access. The adminSetting() AJAX action accepts attacker-controlled settingCode and settingValue fields and updates WordPress options without a capability check. No account is required; changing default_role and users_can_register lets an attacker register a new administrator account and control the site.
