CVE-2024-5422Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via file-descriptor exhaustion

Published Jun 4, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Resource exhaustion in SEH utnserver Pro, ProMAX, and INU-100 20.1.22 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. Concurrent requests to /info/file?/application make the web interface open file descriptors without an effective concurrency bound. An authenticated session and a large request burst are required; descriptor exhaustion makes the appliance unavailable, with no reported data access or modification.
