Remote service compromise via restricted RFC credential exposure
Published Dec 10, 2024 · Updated Dec 10, 2024
Information disclosure in SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP kernel releases allows remote authenticated users to expose service credentials. The legacy dynamic-destination path accepts crafted RFC requests for restricted destinations without adequately enforcing access restrictions, exposing stored remote-service credentials. Authenticated access and specific destination conditions are required; the disclosed credentials can enable complete compromise of the remote service.
