CVE-2024-54181Network attack vector

Privileged code execution via Swagger UI command injection

Published Dec 30, 2024 · Updated Dec 30, 2024

OS command injection in IBM WebSphere Automation 1.7.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through the Swagger UI. IBM identifies specially crafted input as the trigger but does not disclose the affected API operation, parameter, or command-construction error. Exploitation requires a privileged profile authorized for the Swagger UI, and successful injection executes code on the underlying system without user interaction.
