CVE-2024-54173

Local sensitive-data disclosure via webconsole trace files

Published Feb 28, 2025 · Updated Feb 28, 2025

Sensitive trace-data exposure in IBM MQ 9.2 LTS, 9.3 LTS and CD, and 9.4 LTS and CD allows local users to read potentially sensitive trace data. The REST API and Console webconsole trace facility writes sensitive values to trace.log and retained timestamped log files. A local account and enabled webconsole tracing are required; the published impact is read-only disclosure, with no integrity or availability effect.
