Published Aug 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 29, 2024
Stored XSS in Gutentor before 3.3.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser through a crafted post. The pTitleTag option in a Gutentor post block accepts an HTML event-handler payload and is rendered without validation or output escaping. Contributor access is required to save the crafted block, and the payload runs when another user previews or views the post.
