Data modification via prototype-polluting merge functions
Published Dec 4, 2024 · Updated Dec 4, 2024
Prototype pollution in JetBrains YouTrack before 2024.3.52635 allows remote attackers to modify application object properties via crafted input. The affected merge functions fail to block prototype-resolving keys while copying object attributes, allowing crafted input to alter attributes inherited by other objects. Exploitation requires user interaction and additional conditions, and the published impact is limited to application data disclosure or modification.
