Authenticated session actions via unsanitized stored comments
Published Dec 5, 2024 · Updated Dec 6, 2024
Stored XSS in affected Directus releases before 10.13.4 and 11.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through comments. The activity comment endpoint accepts HTML in a direct PATCH request, and comments-sidebar-detail.vue renders it without neutralizing tags before mention markup. A low-privileged account can store the payload, but another user must view the comment; the script then performs authenticated actions under that viewer's session cookie.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
