CVE-2024-54113

Excess power consumption via resident print process

Published Dec 12, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2025

Resource consumption in the Huawei HarmonyOS 5.0.0 print module allows local users to increase power use by leaving a process resident. The print module retains a process after an abnormal scenario instead of terminating it, but Huawei has not disclosed the triggering input, code locus, or cleanup failure. Low-privileged local access is required, no user interaction is needed, and the reported consequence is limited to increased power consumption.
