Heap-based buffer overflow in Siemens Solid Edge SE2024 before 224.0 Update 5 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted PAR file. The PAR file parser writes beyond a heap allocation while processing crafted file data; Siemens has not disclosed the responsible routine or field. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file, and resulting code runs in the context of the current process.
