CVE-2024-54091

Code execution via X_T parser buffer overwrite

Published Dec 10, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2025

Out-of-bounds write in Siemens Solid Edge SE2024 and SE2025 allows context-dependent attackers to execute code via malicious X_T data. The X_T parser writes past the end of an allocated buffer while processing attacker-controlled model data. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted file and executes code with the current process's privileges.
