Root command execution via tampered configuration backup
Published Dec 23, 2024 · Updated Dec 24, 2024
OS command injection in Sharp home 5G HR02 and Wi-Fi STATION SH-54C allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The configuration restore function incorporates attacker-modified backup-file content into an operating-system command without neutralizing command syntax. Exploitation requires administrative access, a LAN path over Wi-Fi, USB, or Ethernet, and nonpublic device information; success grants root-level router control.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=S6.60.00 and earlier
