Stored XSS via unescaped view-name interpolation
Published Nov 27, 2024 · Updated Nov 27, 2024
Stored XSS in Jenkins Simple Queue Plugin 1.4.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in another user's browser. The SimpleQueueWidget index.jelly template interpolates view.viewName directly into a JavaScript URL string used to build the ajaxBuildQueue request instead of escaping it. View/Create permission is required to store the crafted name, and the payload executes when another user loads the affected queue widget, exposing that user's Jenkins session actions and data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
