Stored XSS via unescaped application settings
Published Dec 5, 2024 · Updated Dec 5, 2024
Stored XSS in Kanboard before 1.2.41 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to inject HTML through application settings. The settings handler stores unchecked values from four locale and format fields, and layout.php reflects them without HTML escaping. Administrator access and CSP-bypassing JavaScript are required for script execution, which can read or alter data in another user's browser context.
