Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized shell inputs
Published Dec 2, 2024 · Updated Dec 5, 2024
OS command injection in EDM115 unzip-bot before 7.0.3a allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through Telegram inputs. The extraction and upload helpers interpolate attacker-controlled archive names, passwords, and video names into shell command strings passed to subprocess.Popen with shell=True. Any Telegram user able to submit an archive or password can run commands with the bot process's privileges.
