CVE-2024-5399Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Administrative command execution via unfiltered API parameters

Published May 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

OS command injection in Openfind Mail2000 V7.0 and V8.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary system commands via an API. A specific API fails to filter attacker-controlled parameters before incorporating them into operating system commands; the vendor has not disclosed its endpoint or parameter names. Administrative privileges are required, and successful exploitation permits access to host data and email-sending functions.
