Cross-site scripting via namespaced-element stripping

Cross-site scripting in Rails rails-html-sanitizer 1.6.0 allows remote attackers to inject scripts through crafted HTML. PermitScrubber strips disallowed namespaced SVG or MathML elements by promoting their children into the output, allowing browser reparsing to expose an embedded script. Exploitation requires Rails 7.1.0 or later, HTML5 sanitization, an allowlist that permits style but omits svg or math, and a user who renders the sanitized content.
