Arbitrary file read via path traversal
Published Dec 23, 2024 · Updated Mar 25, 2025
Path traversal in Adobe ColdFusion 2023 Update 11 and 2021 Update 17 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files. Adobe has not disclosed the affected Administrator endpoint or the path-normalization operation that permits traversal outside its restricted directory. Exploitation is unauthenticated but requires the ColdFusion Administrator panel to be reachable from the internet, exposing files readable by the server process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
