Arbitrary code execution via crafted-file stack overflow
Published Dec 10, 2024 · Updated Dec 17, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Adobe FrameMaker 2020.7 and earlier and 2022.5 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a malicious file. Adobe identifies only a Windows DLL; it has not published the DLL name, parser, or unchecked operation that overruns the stack buffer. A user must open the crafted file, after which successful exploitation runs arbitrary code with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
