Administrator-browser script execution via stored SSID input
Published Feb 3, 2025 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
Stored XSS in NRadio N8-180 firmware NROS-1.9.2.n3.c5 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser. The /cgi-bin/luci/nradio/basic/radio endpoint stores 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz SSID name input without neutralizing injected JavaScript, then renders it in the radio settings page. An attacker must first place the payload in an SSID field, and execution occurs when an administrator later signs in and loads the affected interface.
