Root command execution via unneutralized ping parameters
Published Dec 2, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024
OS command injection in Victure RX1800 firmware EN_V1.0.0_r12_110933 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. Four /cgi-bin/luci/admin/opsw endpoints pass attacker-controlled ping parameters into operating-system commands without neutralizing command elements. Access to the router management network and an authenticated administrative session are required; exploitation permits full device control and service interruption.
