Root command execution via Wi-Fi name injection
Published Dec 2, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024
OS command injection in Victure RX1800 firmware EN_V1.0.0_r12_110933 allows remote attackers to execute commands as root. The /cgi-bin/luci/admin/opsw/Dual_freq_un_apple endpoint incorporates crafted 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz names into OS commands without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Access to an adjacent network is sufficient; no privileges or user interaction are required, and successful exploitation gives full device control.
