CVE-2024-53937Public exploit

Root command execution via default Telnet credentials

Published Dec 2, 2024 · Updated Dec 3, 2024

Incorrect authorization in Victure RX1800 firmware EN_V1.0.0_r12_110933 allows adjacent remote attackers to execute commands as root. The router enables its LAN-facing Telnet service by default and accepts admin/admin until the management GUI password changes. Any attacker with LAN access can use the unchanged credentials to obtain a root shell, read or alter router data, and interrupt service.
