Unauthorized calls via exported intent handler
Published Jan 6, 2025 · Updated Jan 8, 2025
Insecure permissions in BG.Studio Color Phone Call Screen App through 24 allow local users to place calls via a crafted Android intent. The exported com.asianmobile.callcolor.ui.component.call.CallActivity accepts intents from any installed application and initiates an outgoing call without checking caller permissions or requiring user confirmation. A malicious application must already be installed on the Android device; exploitation produces unauthorized outgoing calls without user interaction.
