Unauthorized calls via exported DialerActivity intents
Published Jan 6, 2025 · Updated Jan 8, 2025
Improper permissions in Color Phone Call Screen Themes 1.1.2 and earlier allow local users to place calls via a crafted intent. The exported com.frovis.androidbase.call.DialerActivity accepts intents from other apps and initiates outgoing calls without enforcing a calling-app permission or obtaining user consent. Exploitation requires a malicious third-party app on the same Android device, and the bounded consequence is an unauthorized outgoing call.
