CVE-2024-53844Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated container file read via unsanitized export path

Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 26, 2024

Path traversal in EDDI 4.3 through 5.3 allows remote authenticated users to read container files via backup export requests. RestExportService.java uses the botFilename path parameter to select an export file without sanitizing traversal sequences. Low-privileged network access is required, and reads are limited to files accessible to user 185 inside the container unless host paths are mounted.
