Client-side script execution via unneutralized URL
Published May 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site scripting in jsy-1 short-url 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through admin.php's url argument. admin.php accepts the attacker-controlled url value and emits it into web-page output without the neutralization required to prevent browser interpretation as script. Low-privileged access and a victim's interaction are required under the CNA's CVSS 3.1 assessment, and successful exploitation changes page content or actions in the victim's session.
