CVE-2024-53777Network attack vector

Stored XSS via forged privileged-user request

Published Dec 2, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

CSRF in Alberto Reineri Simple Header and Footer 1.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to store script code through a forged request. Public materials do not identify the affected request handler or the missing request-authenticity check that permits the stored injection. Exploitation requires a logged-in privileged user to submit a forged request, after which the injected script executes for visitors to the affected page.
