Stored XSS via missing nonce validation
Published Dec 2, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Google Plus Share and +1 Button 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to store malicious scripts. An undisclosed plugin function processes a state-changing request without valid nonce verification, allowing attacker-supplied script content to be persisted. Exploitation requires an administrator to follow an attacker-controlled link or page, after which the stored script executes in a visitor's browser.
