Administrator takeover via cookieless authenticated requests
Published Dec 1, 2025 · Updated Dec 1, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Socomec DIRIS Digiware M-70 1.6.9 allows remote attackers to change an administrator password. The WEBVIEW-M Authenticate/?ModifyAccount handler accepts a cross-site POST without a sessionid cookie as authorized because the browser reuses an authenticated TCP session. Exploitation requires a Cyber Security user to remain logged in and visit an attacker-controlled page; successful password replacement grants access as the Admin user.
