Path traversal in Siemens SIPROTEC 5 devices before their listed fixed releases allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files. The embedded web server fails to confine requested paths to permitted filesystem content, exposing files outside the intended web tree. Access requires valid device credentials and network reachability to the enabled web server; the reported consequence is file disclosure only.
