Service interruption via unbounded funcpara1 copy
Published Jun 30, 2025 · Updated Jun 30, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC1206 firmware 15.03.06.23 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted POST request. In /bin/httpd, formSetCfm() reads funcpara1 with websGetVar() and passes it to save_list_data(), where sprintf() copies it into the stack-based mib_name buffer without a length bound. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is limited to denial of service rather than code execution.
