Script execution via unneutralized article titles
Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 26, 2024
Cross-site scripting in the Article module of SPIP 4.3.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a crafted Title value. Article title handling renders the crafted value as active HTML or script content instead of neutralizing it for the page context. High-privilege authenticated access is required to plant the value, and a user must view the affected output before the script runs.
