Command execution via unsanitized timezone parameter
Published Jan 31, 2025 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
OS command injection in OpenPanel 0.3.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands in its UI container via timezone input. The /server/timezone handler passes the timezone parameter to a shell command without neutralizing command separators. Any OpenPanel user can reach the Change TimeZone function, and successful injection executes with the UI container's privileges.
