Unauthenticated database disclosure via injectable getCookieNames
Published Feb 24, 2025 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
SQL injection in NovaCHRON Smart Time Plus before 8.6 R 1.01 B1017 allows remote attackers to read database data without authentication. The getCookieNames method inserts POST request input directly into a MySQL query, permitting crafted UNION SELECT expressions to retrieve arbitrary records. The exposed MySQLConnection web endpoint requires no session cookie, and successful exploitation discloses credentials, password hashes, and active sessions.
