Unauthenticated database writes via addProject SQL injection
Published Feb 24, 2025 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
SQL injection in NovaCHRON Smart Time Plus before 8.6 R 1.01 B1017 allows remote attackers to write database records via addProject. The exposed smarttimeplus/MySQLConnection addProject method inserts attacker-controlled text into an SQL INSERT statement without checking a session cookie. An unauthenticated request can create records, including an administrator account; code execution requires chaining other flaws and an active licensed service.
