Database credential disclosure via hardcoded IDEA secrets
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Information disclosure in Bangkok Medical Software HOSxP XE 4.64.11.3 allows local users to decrypt stored database credentials. HOSxPXE4.exe applies the same hardcoded IDEA key and initialization vector to password ciphertext stored in C:\ProgramData\HOS-WIN32.INI. Local access to the client and configuration file exposes privileged credentials that permit reading, writing, editing, or deleting hospital database records.
