Authenticated PHP execution via unsanitized layout paths
Published Jun 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Local file inclusion in Nicdark Elements For Elementor 2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP via widget layout attributes. Six widget render paths use attacker-controlled layout attribute values to select PHP include paths without first restricting those values to safe filename keys. Contributor-level access is required, and code execution depends on an includable server file, including an uploaded file that PHP can execute.
