CVE-2024-53326Public exploit

Code execution via unvalidated autocompletion cache deserialization

Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026

Unsafe deserialization in LINQPad Pro before 5.52.01 allows local users to execute code by replacing a per-user autocompletion cache file. PopulateFromCache reads AutoRefCache46.1.dat from the user's Local AppData directory and passes its contents to BinaryFormatter.Deserialize without validation. Exploitation requires a licensed Pro edition and the targeted user to launch LINQPad; code runs in that user's security context.
