Form data disclosure via permissive capability check
Published Aug 1, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Breakdance 1.7.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with Contributor access to export form submissions. The form-submissions export path accepts the general edit_posts capability instead of requiring manage_options, exposing stored form data to contributors. A WordPress account with Contributor-level access is required, and exposure is limited to data stored through Breakdance forms.
