CVE-2024-53290

Unauthenticated local command execution via undisclosed neutralization

Published Dec 11, 2024 · Updated Dec 11, 2024

Command injection in Dell ThinOS 2408 allows local users without authentication to execute commands on the thin client. Dell identifies improper neutralization of special command elements in proprietary operating-system code but does not disclose the affected interface, parameter, function, or command invocation. Local access is required, and successful exploitation gives an unauthenticated user command execution on the endpoint.
