Stored script execution via unescaped gradient setting
Published May 30, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored DOM-based XSS in PowerPack Addons for Elementor 2.7.19 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in page visitors' browsers. The Animated Gradient Background extension sends the stored pp_animated_gradient_bg_color value to page output without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to save a payload, and execution occurs when a user opens the injected page, permitting script actions in that visitor's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
