Privileged risky-command execution via saved-search parameter

Authorization bypass in Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud Platform allows remote authenticated users to run privileged risky saved searches. The /en-US/app/search/report endpoint accepts the s parameter for a saved search and runs its risky command with a higher-privileged user’s permissions, bypassing SPL safeguards. Exploitation requires a low-privileged user without an admin or power role to trick a higher-privileged victim into initiating the crafted browser request.
