Local packet-send halt via unreleased skbs

Memory leak in AF_XDP sockets in Linux 6.8 through 6.11.10 and 6.12 through 6.12.1 allows local users to halt packet sends. The xsk_build_skb error path allocates a new skb for a descriptor’s first fragment but does not free it when TX metadata options are invalid. Reaching the flaw requires local low-privileged access to submit XSK transmit descriptors; exhaustion stops further sends on the affected socket.
