Service interruption via CIFS cached-directory reference leak

Memory leak in the CIFS client in Linux allows local users to interrupt service by racing directory access with SMB reconnection. During open_cached_dir(), reconnection removes a newly constructed cfid from the cache list without dropping its extra reference when has_lease is false, leaving the object permanently referenced. Reaching the flaw requires a mounted CIFS share and a high-complexity reconnection race; accumulated leaks exhaust memory, and unmounting can trigger a kernel BUG.
