Code execution via unchecked PDF buffer write
Published Jun 6, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in PDF parsing in Tungsten Automation Power PDF 5.0.0.57 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a malicious PDF. The PDF parser insufficiently validates user-supplied data before writing it, permitting a write past the end of an allocated buffer. A target must open the file or visit a malicious page; successful exploitation runs code in the current Power PDF process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
